What an exciting October we’ve had! From launches to conversations to press to events a lot has happened (and continues to happen) with the Facing Ourselves Project!

OCTOBER HIGHLIGHTS:

NOVEMBER EVENTS

The exhibition had a very full final weekend and was visited by guests from all over Southern California. Renowned Poet and Publisher Glenna Luschei taught a poetry workshop at the Gallery on November 3rd to the theme “Where I came from—a response to photographs in English and Spanish.” A poetry reading with Santa Barbara Poet Laureate Laure-Anne Bosselaar commenced at 4 pm and had a large and enthusiastic audience.

Bubbly was uncorked at the end of the poetry reading to mark the close of an extraordinary few weeks at the Carpinteria Arts Center. Facing Ourselves is now ready and set to go to our next location. Stay tuned!
